Fast Bible Basics ("Fast Bible Basics," "we," "us," or "the app") is a free daily Bible reader that explains scripture in plain English. This policy explains what information the app does and does not handle. We built Fast Bible Basics to collect as little about you as possible.

The short version

• We do not require an account, a login, or your name or email to use the app.
• We do not ask about your religion, beliefs, or background.
• Your reading progress is stored only on your own device, in your browser's local

storage. It is not sent to us and we never see it.

• We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising.
• The only information that may reach us is anonymous, aggregate usage statistics (if

enabled) and anything you choose to put in a message when you contact us.

Information stored on your device

To make the app work, your reading progress (which day of the plan you are on, and which readings you have completed or saved) is saved locally in your browser (or in the app if you add it to your home screen) and stays on your device.

This information is under your control. You can erase all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for Fast Bible Basics. We have no copy of it and cannot retrieve or restore it.

Anonymous usage statistics

We may use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate, for example, how many people open a reading or return the next day. Where used, this relies on a randomly generated, anonymous identifier and does not include your name or email, and is not used to identify you personally.

If you contact us

If you email us or use a feedback or "report an error" link, we will receive whatever you include in that message (such as your email address and your comments) and use it only to respond to you and improve the app.

Scripture text and external links

The actual Bible passages are shown using the public-domain World English Bible, and the app links out to external sites such as Bible Gateway so you can read the full passage or other translations. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. We encourage you to review their policies.

AI-generated content

The plain-English explanations in the app are generated using artificial intelligence. Generating them does not require or use any personal information about you.

Children

Fast Bible Basics is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information through a message to us, please contact us so we can remove it.

Your choices and rights

Because we do not hold personal information about you on our servers, your reading data lives on your device and you can delete it yourself at any time by clearing your site data. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights regarding personal data. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected in the app.
